I'll be honest I'm a doodler. I like to draw. That's my thing. I enjoy other means of creativity too and it comes out in a lot of the stuff I do. But there are in this world true artistic rebels.
The first time I'd even heard of Banksy was on an episode of Pawn Stars. To be honest I don't follow the art world and I'm out of touch with what's hip or cool, but with Banksy's current month long residency in New York and all the press it's gotten it's hard to ignore. And after looking through what they've done I'm thoroughly impressed, and I'll be honest that's not easy to do anymore. I think the best part is no one knows who Banksy is. Is he a man, or is she a woman, is it more than one person? All I know is the month long pop up art show in New York has been a variety of art styles and messages and of course charity.
Check it out here at the Banksy website. Better out than In.

Oink Oink
I had some friends get married this summer. It was kind of a surprise for most of us. We showed up for a party and found out it was a reception. The couple asked if I'd do a drawing for their thank you cards. I do love an assignment. I was given a quick sketch that the couple had come up with. It became the drawing on the bottom. I also decided to do one of my own and ended up giving both of them to the couple for a wedding present. The running joke of course was that we never thought they'd actually get married so it's when pigs fly.

Wolf Eel
Anarrhichthys ocellatus not to be confused with the Wolf Fish, they are different. Anyways a commission for a friend looking for a cool tattoo design. I hope she likes it.
